The Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart is the latest addition to the Lancer family. The Ralliart is powered by a new 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC intercooled and turbocharged engine that delivers an estimated 237 horsepower, 253 lb-ft of torque. For 2010 the Lancer comes in three trim levels. The regular base Lancer sedan, the Ralliart and the Evolution X. The Ralliart has a few visual and performance features which make it a lot of fun to drive. The Lancer is most often compared to the Subaru WRX or STI and the Volkswagen GTI. The Lancer Ralliart's full-time 4WD (all wheel drive) driveline features Mitsubishi's Active Center Differential (ACD). The ACD unit employs an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch center differential, vectoring torque to the front and rear wheels according to different driving conditions. But that's how a bean counter would make his purchase decision. A guy like that draws a line (with a straightedge) down the center of a sheet of graph paper to put pluses on one side and minuses on the other. He'd never be able to get his pointy head around the visceral experience the rally-inspired Ralliart supplies. But he might just have another point to make here. As they now exist, a front-wheel-drive Mitsubishi Lancer GTS with its naturally aspirated 168-horsepower engine is priced at $18665, while the twin-scroll turbocharged 291-hp all-wheel-drive Evolution GSR starts at $33665. If we were to follow the accountant's rigid method of finding the average of these two cars, it'd be a three-wheel-drive Lancer with a single-scroll turbo making 229 hp and costing $26165. And if we would add the $1500 price of the Evo MR's state-of-the-art dual-clutch six-speed transmission with its shift paddles on the steering wheel, our dream car's price would rise to $27665. And wouldn't you know it? That's almost exactly the price of the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. As a bonus, it has four-wheel drive (not three) and 237 hp at no extra cost.

This is the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Though Mitsu has lightly disguised it as the Prototype X concept car for the 2007 Detroit Auto Show, this turbocharged, all-wheel-drive sedan is the Evo X. No doubt about it. We're so sure about it that we'll just refer to the Prototype X as the next Evo X for the rest of this report.

There aren't many videos of the Tsudo N1 on a current gen Lancer, much less an installation video. So here ya go. There are NO other mods on this car. Everything is purely stock, except the exhaust, of course. By the way, if you buy this exhaust, you're probably going to have to do what I did and use a clamp or something to hold the exhaust up, or else it'll probably end up falling off and you'll be dragging it down the road.
