Transcribed and played by Benoît Sauvé with the Recorder*(Flûte à bec/Flauta Doce/Blockflöte). *Keyless recorders with double-holes upside/down(Recorders for lefthanders) Amongst the various work methods that I have experimented with in improvisation, there is one that I have found particularly beneficial: transcribing choruses from recordings. This series of videos reflects part of the work done on a few of these amazing solos. Why transcribing solos? Although studying the various scales and chords,and the relations between them,is essential in learning to improve,putting these theoretical notions into practise can be very laborious. This is why making transcriptions of actual solos can be so useful for training aural perception and instrumental technique,as well as allowing us to analyse the styles of great jazzmen,enrich our musical vocabulary,and thus help develop our own musical ideas.

[DVD] Radiohead - Toronto 2003 [Part 1/12 Songs]
Took me a few weeks to put this one up, had to ask for permission from formengr before putting it up. It was on the PureLiveGigs but you had to download it from the Radiohub. For those not in the know, the Radiohub has a lot of Radiohead content on, but it is solely for the purpose of sharing between the people who use the hub, not for mass consumption like my Radiohead channel is. However with it being listed on PLG, I asked Formengr if that meant it was ok to be used here, and he ok'd that on Saturday. It's great to see Thom halt a song to help someone who is in need of medical assistance, and even keeps the crowd updated on the guys wellbeing, what a nice bloke. Apparently this misses "The Gloaming" which was the first song played. Madrid : Un policier sauve un homme tombé sur les rails du métro
Sur les quais du métro de Madrid, vendredi, un homme visiblement ivre (en haut à gauche sur la vidéo), fait une chute sur le dos en plein milieu des rails. Le métro est sur le point d'arriver à cette station. Les personnes présentes au bord du quai font des signes désespérés au conducteur de la rame pour qu'il freine d'urgence. C'est à ce moment précis qu'un policier (qui n'était pas en service) descend sur les rails et empoigne l'homme à terre, pour lui éviter à l'ultime seconde d'être écrasé par le métro. Le jeune policier de 30 ans, qui vient lui aussi de frôler la mort, se relève rapidement et prend l'homme dans ses bras pour le remonter sur le quai à l'aide des témoins de la scène. Brian "Head" Welch, le guitariste du groupe de néo-métal Korn raconte sa rencontre avec Dieu. Depuis les premières heures de Korn, il consomme des méthamphétamines, appelées autrement « speed ».
